Kohler Conquers Consumer Electronics Show

While we've used our blog space here to call attention to $10,000 high-tech toilets and Alexa controlled bathroom speakers, Kohler welcomes us to 2018 with a suite of new smart products that may change the way you use your bathroom! At this week's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Kohler surprised many with not one, but three new Internet of Things (IoT) devices that caught the attention of thousands of home owners:

1. Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror: While controlling lights with an Alexa may be last year's trend, this new mirror has Alexa built-in and features a dual-microphone system so you can easily control the efficient LED light that surrounds your mirror. But the mirror isn't just about good lighting while you're getting ready - it also houses hermetically sealed stereo speakers to play your favorite music or podcasts while you prepare for the start or end of your busy day.  Finally, the mirror is also motion activated with a convenient nightlight to help you navigate regardless of your sleepy disposition. 

2. DTV+ Shower System:  How much time do you spend each day waiting for your water to warm and then adjusting it to the right temperature before you step in? This new DTV+ system allows you to simply speak the temperature you want or to preset a shower experience that can control temperature, shower heads, body sprays, lighting, music and more.  

3. Numi Intelligent Toilet:  While Kohler introduced accessories to make existing toilets smarter, or warmer or touch-less, this Numi follows the same smart trend as the advanced shower system above. Beyond the expected features, like heated seat and hands-free control, this new toilet also adds wireless Bluetooth music, ambient colored lighting and an impressive new foot warmer that actually heats the space around the toilet.  Not only can this toilet be controlled by voice but a new Kohler Konnect app was also debuted at this week's show.
