Now that we've wrapped up the project in Lake Forest our crew moves over to Cary, Illinois where a client who has a home built in 2005 in Foxford Hills wants to do some affordable, modern bathroom updates. As you can see from the "Before" photos, the current bathroom is not bad, but the client would like a shower that is slightly larger and fresh updates to the decade old cabinetry and tile flooring. To help keep costs down, the footprint of the bathroom will remain but the contractor grade soaker tub will be swapped out for a more spa-like air tub. New faucets and lighting will replace the old to not only provide a brighter way to start their day, but they will also see some water saving benefits for years to come. Making their master bath space more enjoyable and pleasing to the eye while keeping costs under control is the goal for this soon to be completed Diamond Bath project! Keep following our blog and our Facebook page to watch this progress of this special remodeling project in Cary, Illinois!

Given the great response that our "Shower Flowers" in-progress photos received last week, we really didn't want to wait for our photographer to Lake Forest before showing everyone how things are looking at the 95% mark for this recent project. Yesterday, the founder of Diamond Bath, Jim Termanas, went back to the project and snapped these quick "almost" after photos. As you can see, there is clearly a reason why Jim has been a master carpenter his entire life, as opposed to a photographer, but despite some technical issues with lighting, it's pretty obvious how we've taken this bathroom from "Shower Flowers" to "Power Shower"! When the professional photos come in later this month, we'll update again with some nice before and after comparisons.
A few weeks back we were poking fun at "Shower Flowers" - those groovy traction stickers that seemed to be stuck on everyone's bathtubs during the 1970's. But as you can see from the photos below, we are taking a stand against old shower flowers, at least in Lake Forest this week. We will post our final job photos within the next week or two, but we wanted to share with everyone the work it takes to get to those beautiful "after" photos that everyone enjoys. And while making progress sometimes means making a mess, one of our Diamond Differences is our daily clean-up at all job sites. Keep an eye for the final "After" photos from Lake Forest here on our blog!
