Infinity Bath Anyone?

Earlier this month HGTV published a slide show on their website called "Tub and Shower Trends".  With our team of professionals always on the look-out for the latest trends in bathroom remodeling and renovations, obviously we spent some time going through these nine slides, and encourage our readers to do the same.  While some of the trends aren't necessarily new (Spacious Showers), there are a few we felt deserved a bit of extra attention:

Number One - Infinity Bath: We are still trying to figure this one out. We certainly understand and appreciate the beauty of an infinity pool is and why they are so amazing when aligned with ocean views, but an infinity bath? We would love your feedback on this trend! For the record, no one in Northern Illinois has requested an infinity bath from Diamond Bath during 2018, but we promise to post pictures on our very first installation.  This may rank up there with the $10,000 self-cleaning toilet that no one has every asked for.

Number Six - Seated Shower: During October of last year, our blog post titled "Three Bathroom Updates to Increase Home Value" discussed functional expectations of contemporary showers.  While tiled shower niches are trending these days, in terms of function, shower seats and shower benches seem to be one of the MOST appreciated features we add to our client projects.  If you page through our Gallery and pay close attention you'll see standard height benches, corner benches and even small foot stools to make shaving easier.

Number Nine - Roman Shower: Almost a year ago on our blog, we posted about the growing trend of "age-in- place" modifications to bathrooms, and especially showers, that allow easier access for walkers and wheelchairs. This new slide deck is the first time we've heard this referred to as a "Roman Shower" which is essentially a shower without a step-over lip. The floor tile work does, however, slope down towards a drain, but the design is truly ideal for people of all ages.

Regardless of your wants, desires or expectations of a new professionally remodeled bathroom, Contact Diamond Bath today for your free in-home estimate!
